Preparing together for hot summer days - RIVM

The summer season is just around the corner - a time of sun and heat, but also of risk for vulnerable groups. In a recent newsletter, RIVM stresses the importance of preparing for heat. Elderly people, young children and people with chronic conditions are more at risk of health problems in high temperatures.

That's why the RIVM is calling for: take care of each other in heat. From May to September, the National Heat Plan can be activated. Then RIVM, KNMI, GGDs and the Red Cross together inform and support the population. The evaluation of the current Heat Plan will be published on June 2 (Heat Action Day) on the RIVM website.
